In this class the traditional 4-hole stab binding and it’s variations; the tortoise-shell, the hemp-leaf, and the kangxi, will be practiced. These books are soft bound, use no glue, and single, non-folded sheets of paper can be utilized for the text block. These elegant bindings are wonderful for small editions and chapbooks, and teachers find them especially useful in classroom projects. No experience necessary. Most materials and tools provided.
